Karen,
I don't exactly know what a Renga poem is so I can't speak to that. Those two lines flow nicely and tell a story to completion. This is a great poem.
Well done my friend.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Karen.
-You did a good job with your poem.
-You follow the previous one very well.
-A very good first line sets the scene
and the second one shows how
we feel the warmth from inside.
-Very well done.

Good morning, Karen,
Boy!
Can I ever relate to the sentiments in your poetic offering as we are experiencing one heck of a snowstorm, and the snow just keeps coming our way!
One edit:
While snowfall keep (keeps) us inside
Stay warm!

Already corrected. How did I miss it? Thanks for the read. Here in Texas we don't get snow hardly ever. I've only seen it once. Karen

I was sure I had reviewed this before but I must not have hit send. I like your poem, Good friend and hot chocolate are like a warm fuzzy blanket but a real fireplace fire makes everything perfect.

Thank you so much. I do not sometimes. I have to settle for a heated blanket, but since I am alone, snuggling cannot be done yet. Karen

OK, Karen
Two things.
Love this, and how do I join your Renga circle :)
Next more importantly. I just read your profile fully, yeah it's something I do when I enjoy someone's work and want to see if I can understand them a bit better.
OK (((hugs))) let's get the empathy out of the way first.
Next, you are not in-valid (Lord, I hate that term) you are very valid, you just have a disability which I can very much empathise with.
I, too live in constant pain thanks to fucked up nerves in my legs and feet, life sucks but what can you do.
I also gave up on pain meds years ago, why dose myself with chemicals that either make me a zombie or don't work at all.
What it has done though. Is give you the opportunity to release your creative side. And what an awesome side that is.
The universe has a way with karma, and karma has allowed one disability to unleash an amazing ability.
Anyway, enough of my senile ramblings.
You take care and I look forward to your next posting.

Thanks for the empathy. Go back to my poem scroll down to the bottom you will see some buttons one will say add chapter. you either write a 5-7-5 or a 7-7 couplet. You add them one at a time. Look to see what some one just wrote. If they did a 5-7-5 you add the 7-7 couplet. Same theme. You are a sweetie. I use a heated blanket and a heating pad 24/7 and I try to be distracted all the time. I always have the tv on, and the computer, plus I cook, make lists play word games, etc. I am always occupied with several things. I keep my brain so busy I can hide from the pain a lot. I am smarty smart. :-)

I shall give it a go sometime :)
Thanks for telling me how. I am still learning nuances of this site.
Likewise, i allways keep myself busy and catch sleep whenever I am tired enought o be able to drop off despite the pain.
Its different life but such is the way of things.

are you retired too? I I awake, and then I become unconscious.
I don't fall asleep. Karen

I am medically retired. I had to stop nursing back around the turn of the century and then ran my own business for a few years. Finally stopped around 10 years or so ago.

I had to stop working in 2010.
I had to stop driving too. I sure miss it. I get spasms, and I have no warning. So, I should not be behind the wheel. :-(
-
I can still drive thank god else i would be pretty much housebound.
I am medically restricted to an automatic as i can't hold a car on a clutch these days.
-
I miss driving. I loved running errands, chasing down bargains.
The internet does not have the same appeal. I miss people. Karen

Missing people; I hear you there.
It's why I started karaoke.
I have always sung and used to be a regular at open mics.
Now I go to Karaoke every Sunday and try to get in another when I can.
