We live in a world where people want things that they don't necessary need and this wanting all the time means they are never satisfied with life. I have leaved to appreciate the important things in life, like relationships and good health, I enjoyed your wise words here Jesse, love Dolly x

Another fine write, Jesse....and it seems to me there's an epidemic of greed sweeping the country, that's what has lead to a reprehensible creature like Trump

Wow! While I have nothing against striving for more, and wanting to be better than you are, I do agree there's a point where you just have to say "This is as good as it gets." It's like editing a piece of writing over and over. At some point, you just have to say, "I'm done. This is the best I can do." Perhaps others can then come in with suggestions, with a fresh eye, but you, yourself, need to just step away, decide what advice you do and don't want to accept, accept what you choose, then walk away and go onto something else.
As you sum up so beautifully in your last lines, you'll never be truly content until you can say, "I am enough. I have enough. My accomplishments, after I've achieved them, will be enough." That is an excellent philosophy, and one that will give many people satisfaction--and put many therapists out of business!

Thank you, Michele, for your good advice. Choosing who to listen to is hard but necessary in this world where so many disagree with every little thing we write. I choose and then move on.
It makes me happy that you go along with my philosophy where I am enough is plenty. You make me laugh when you say this will put many therapists out of business.
Thanks for your continued support and guidance.
You are a good friend and I appreciate you.

Sadly, in this fight, there are many who seem that they never have enough. They never have enough money. They never have enough goodies. They never have a more beautiful home than they think they should have and they just never seem to have enough. Those people who have that thought in mind seem to be some of the most insecure people that I know. Patricia.

I think so, everyone really is enough when one thinks, I think we all think thst we can go much further than we do, when, in reality, what is too much, and how muvh is too much? Beautifully written Jesse, blessings Roy

Comment from Debbie D'Arcy
Hi Jesse, this is such a profound thought and one that we should all consider when we have so much and others have so little. And, as you so wisely note, why should there be this disparity when we're all born equal. This is a timely post as we approach Christmas and the madness has already begun. We would do well to remember your words that enough is enough. I'm so sorry I have nothing more to give, Jesse. Take care Debbie

Thanks, Debbie, for this philosophical review. Yes, we are all born equal. Yet there is a disparity in this world that is ever-growing.
I was hoping folks would see this as a timely post for the holidays.
Don't be sorry. You give of yourself and that means so much to me.
Take care, my friend.
Jesse

This is a very interesting post you have penned my friend. I am thankful that in my lifetime I have learned that Jesus Christ is more than enough for me. I remember growing up I was a spoiled little girl. Then as a teen I always wanted more and better things. Now as a 69 year old Christian lady I have found that my relationship with my Lord, Jesus Christ, if enough. Thank you for sharing my friend. I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving. Teri
