This was very cute and perfect for the prompt. I would not put it past some animals, they are very possessive of their moms and daddies, good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed this story. I really thought it was a kid in the beginning. The ending was quite a surprise. It was actually a cat. Well written. Great job.

Thank you. I love to write cat stories. I rescued cats for many years and witnessed some uncharacteristic behavior in some of them.

Thank you. Yes, indeed. Cats do rule the home, and I have five cats who expect me to live by their rules. Lol.
