Awwww, Debi, our job here is done!! We've lightened your heart and that's the point. You're an amazing lady who touches many lives. You are a sweetheart and we love you.
I was uplifted, myself, as I saw the reviews pouring in. Someone should have made it a book so you would have it all in one place. I didn't think about it. I hope you find them all.
Much love,
Rhonda

My friend, we both got to that place we needed to be to enter the next decade with a can-do spirit. For me, it took a good friend, who is 83 years old and still rides her horse, to essentially tell me to stop whining. It was like a slap in the face, but by the end of that day, I was in a place of acceptance.
Here's a question for us both: What am I going to do to make a difference in the next decade? For myself, my family, my community, the earth . . .
We're not done here yet, Debi. We still have a purpose.
LET'S DO THIS!

The funny thing about life and living. I am four years older than my wife, and I was convinced that of the two of us, I would be the first to leave here. So, imagine my surprise to have survived her. A funny story, on of my cousins used to try to introduce me to her girlfriends. I was 21at the time, and my cousin was still in high school. I told her I had no interest in dating teeny boppers. When my wife and I started dating I was 28, I saw a photo of my wife and a girl I recognized as being a next door neighbor of my cousin. It turns out that my new girlfriend was a close friend of my cousin's. I was teased for many years afterward.

Hi Debi.
This is a well rhymed poem reminds us that aging is something we can be at peace with.
Those decade birthdays always seem to be the hardest ones. But as long as you don't feel or look your age than it is just a number.
Happy belated Birthday. Sorry I missed it. I was out of state fora wedding and visiting family.

This is a nice way to thank your friends for your birthday greetings. I'm glad you liked receiving them, and that you have made peace with your new decade of life. You used great rhymes in your poem. Blessings. Carol

I think I'm the only one of your friends that haven't written you a poem for your birthday Debi, but there has been an outpouring of gratitude for your selfless devotion for writing for everyone else's birthday, you are receiving an appropriate honouring of your birthday, and deservedly so, beautifully written, blessings Roy

And rightly so! After all it is only a number right. Very wise words. I hope you had the best day got spoilt rotten!
I think we tend to go through different stages, for me I hated turning 30 and 5 years ago when I turned 40 it didn't bother me one bit! I wonder what hitting 50 will bring lol!
Best Wishes

LOL, Debi, that is certainly a great way to look at it. There is also the corollary to that. There ain't a dang thing you can do about it anyway. So, its good you are kicking back...and still kicking it!

Debi, This is a very well written poem about aging. Every day when I awake, I thank God for one more day He has given me to do His will. Some were not that blessed. Age is just a number, and God is so good to us. I don't look young and cute anymore, but I do look like the Lord wants me to look. A thankful child of God. Just remember who you belong to Debi. That should make you feel good regardless of age! love and blessings, Teri
