I follow Pam on FS and enjoy everything she writes. She has a unique writing style.
We lived in Key West and Charleston S C when I was in the navy. Both places of course were quite warm, and like anywhere, had their own set of issues. When we were in Key West, the apartment had a terrible termite problem. Of course it's a tourist destination, and I guess because of the weather, it attracted a huge gay population, which I didn't especially care for, quite frankly. Charleston was pretty big and getting bigger all the time. There were lots of snakes and fire ants, but some pretty good fishing and hunting. Where we lived, in North Charleston, there was a lot of crime, including murders. I can handle the cold better than the heat, and though it might seem less than ideal for yourself, Wasilla is pretty conservative. Just down the road, where your son lives, it's much more liberal. I guess I'm just comfortable with people who think like me for the most part.

One thing Danny likes about Alaska is no roaches and few bugs. Texas is roach central.

We do have mice in the winter though. I just trapped one that had been eluding me for days. They're here to get out of the cold. Tonight it's in the twenties I think. Chilly even for me, especially with the wind.

I understand gal. I'm honestly not a big fan of the cold either, but at least it's warm inside. I couldn't handle the stifling heat down in Texas, but I'd like to visit it sometime. I dropped in to an airport in Dallas I think once, waiting for a flight, but that's been the extent of my time there.

Hello Don and Vicki,
I've done a few poems. I actually had an idea hit me one night and I had to get up and pen it or I knew I'd lose it. It was about visiting the various folks on Fan Story. I would love to do that, but it probably won't get off the ground. Thanks for the delightful review.

My son's birthday IS today, however, and I also want to point out that Debi Pick Marquette and I share the exact same birth date. So, she will be surprised when she reads this, lol!
