An excellent entry for the Free Verse Poem contest. You certainly covered all the bases in your poem and I do miss all those things. The world is almost unrecognizable from less than twenty years ago. It seems impossible that such changes could have been made that quickly. I pray that we somehow find our way back for the sake of our children and their children. Good luck in the contest.

Yes, I remember when. But I fear that in my lifetime, we will never return to the days of such civility. Most of, but not all, of mine and my wife's relatives must be treated with kids gloves. It's easier to just avoid them. We hate it.

This world has changed enormously since I was young, in the length of history it is only a short time since I was young to now, technical have changed exponentially, but evil has not, those technological advances have attracted nefarious people moral standards have deteriorated and poor motivations have replaced simple caring, oh yes, I agree, blessings Roy
