I think it's a great story of perseverance, faith, and hope that transcends the struggle of life into a place of peace. And you tell it with plenty of personality, interjecting your emotions. All the details of what you had to go through flesh out the experience for us and we are right there in the operation waiting rooms, anxious as you were, almost. Having gone through some minor surgery myself, I really empathized. You really did capture the anxiety of the experience and how it brought you to a place where God was all you had left. And therein is the triumph over the physical world in which we find ourselves imperfect. estory

Oh wow, you said it better than I could, lol. You really picked up on the main ideas of the chapter. God really was all I had left at that point, and He came through.
Hugs,
Rhonda

Sounds like you've been through Hell, but at least you made it. We never know what we're capable of until we have no choice. I know, because I have my own survival story.
Anyway, as harrowing and frightening that was for you, you're still here and for that I'm very happy.

Thank you so much, Mike!! I appreciate the six stars and the remarks. You should add a chapter to the book and tell your story!! Not many on here know it. I've heard a bit, but not much. I'd be happy to have your chapter in the book!

Be happy to, but not sure how to go about it. Just leave a comment here?

Go onto the chapter I wrote. At the top is a button to push that says, "add chapter". It will open it up for you. If you have trouble, let me know.

I'll try, probably tomorrow; thanks, Rhonda

Oh boy, I'm shattered, Rhonda, just reading about this! I had no idea you'd been through such an horrendous process but what an inspirational story to share and encourage others never to give up! It sounds as if you had a (literally) out of body experience and, wherever Peter is, with his lovely Irish voice, you must find him and share him around:)) Thank you so much for this compellingly readable and illuminating story. Amazing! Debbie xo

Hi Debbie,
I'm so much the person that doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for that I've left this part of my life aside. But, it explains why I was away for 2 years from the site. I just couldn't write, though I would try.
I wanted to create a forum for people to share their stories, so I created this collective book. There are just so many who have survival stories, I thought they might want to share.
Thanks again,
Rhonda

You have written quite a survival story, all true and well-told. Your down-to-earth, matter-of-fact tone made the story's miracle believable and gave me goosebumps. You involved the reader every step of the way through your medical saga. I cheered for you through the endless surgeries. There is nothing I could criticize or tell you to change. gayla

My goodness, Rhonda! You have been to hell and back; thank goodness for Peter, the Irish nurse. That he told you to reach out and touch the Saviours hem. Faith will always come through, and it certainly did for you. I'm so pleased you have come through it all. There had to be times when you thought you wouldn't. Just think of all the stories we would have missed!! :)) Love and hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Awww, that's so sweet, Sandra,
Thank you very much! It also explains why I was off this site for a couple of years. I found no inspiration during that time, lol.
Hugs,
Rhonda

Thank you for sharing this wonderful personal story with us. I, too, understand going to a personal struggle and coming out of with a strong faith in God.

I so wish I had a six for you, dear Rhonda. My mother had cancer three times in her lifetime. During the last time, it spread throughout her body. The doctors said she would be doped up with morphine because it was eating her spine. The strangest thing, my sweet mother never felt pain, nor did she take morphine until the last few days. The doctors were amazed and said it was impossible. I, too, believe my mother touched the hem and was blessed till her last breath.
I am thankful that you are a survivor and that you were blessed by no pain. I am thankful that you clung to your faith and that the Lord was there to help you.
Smiles and hugs and lots of love,
Carol
