I love the picture, the rhymes, and the silly spellings. I have two cats, and I could visualize them drinking meoworites. It was great. Thanks for the laughs. gayla

This is such a cute poem/chapter! You definitely have a vivid imagination. I like that the cats danced at the party, and those who fought were bounced. 'Intoxicats are not allowed!' -- great line! Cute picture also. Blessings. Carol

Dearest Carol, you are absolutely a gem. Thank you so much for the most fun review and fun comments. Also thank you for the generous six stars for my silly cat poem. I put it in a book now so maybe I can keep adding to them. Thank you again, my awesome friend. Much love, and hugs, Debi

Your 'silly cat poem' gave me a smile. I could just picture the cats dancing together. Best wishes with the book.

This was a very delightful read and I enjoyed very much reading and listening to it. It flows very well when it is read aloud and it tells a very nice story of a nice party. Patricia.

Your imagination was working overtime with this poem. The cat that got plowed and wanted to fight. There is always one who becomes a fighter when boozed up. This was hilarious, Debi. I caught myself laughing out loud. Great poem. Gretchen

This is a really fun piece, Debi. I can just imagine the mischief Patch and Ruby get up to and it sounds like they get on together really well and provide a lot of entertainment. I really enjoyed reading your piece.

This is such a delightful poem, Debi. Playfully unfolding in a rambling romp to a happy ever after ending. Beautifully rhymed, full of fun and a joy to read. Thank you x

This is so funny, adorable, and really cute. I couldn't help but smile. I could see my boys there. Expecially AJ, he's just a CAD. LOL Thank you for sharing this with us.

nd Ruby said "I'll come see you"

"A party is what we should do" (If this is part of what Ruby said, you don't need all the quotation marks, just at the beginning and end of the dialogue not each line. The same is true in a few more lines.)

Thank you so much, sweetheart and a big, "DUH!" I can't believe I did that and so I thank you so very much Barb for your catching those quotations mistakes. I am not used to using them in my poetry but I know better than that. You are a saint and once again, thank you!!! Love, Debi

A clever piece of work that could be developed into a children's poetry book IF you changed the line: "Some meowgaritas were alright" . Other than that it would be ok for kids.

Thank you so much for your review and kind comments. This is the fourth Patch and Ruby poem so far, and the original script I wrote did not include alcohol. But then someone mentioned the meowgarita and I did think it was cute, how ever not appropriate for kids. I agree. I actually may go back to my original poem. Thanks for your suggestions and kind words. Love, Debi

A delightful feline romp here, Debi! And the start of a book with these fun and mischievous characters. Actually, I'm not sure who had more fun - the cats or you because your imagination was working overtime with your newly invented portmanteau? terms (I think you'll have to collate into another book). Wonderful picture too! Well done! Love Debbie

Thanks Debbie, but if you look, the reason I put these in a book is because this is not new. This is the 4th poem I have written for them so I thought I should keep them together in a book. Thanks for the very sweet comments and compliments. I appreciate it so very much, my dear friend. Love, Debi

This poem, Patch and Ruby Plan a Birthday Party, presented with seven AABB-rhymed quatrains, create quite the celebration with enough cat puns to last nine lives.
