The syllabic count is spot on though it seems to hiccup here and there, yet being your first attempt at a limerick it looks good to me, and I wrote a limerick a day for a year a few years back, and not sure if mine were any better.

-Good artwork and presentation, Sanku,
but it makes me feel cold.
-You did a good job with the limerick.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-Good personification of the snowflakes
as they gently fall. The mood is peaceful.
-But now that they are accumulating,
it's not the same, and hard work will
be needed to shovel!
-Very well done.

Yes! My first experience with Alaskan snow. The flakes were huge and beautiful. They began falling in such a magical pattern and density, then, all of a sudden there was a massive whiteout. It lasted a day and a half. My only plight was boredom. I stayed inside in a motel for the entire time. I was literally afraid a polar bear was going to track and eat me. Little did I know that polar bears didn't come as far south as I was.

Oh yes! To be able to stand outside and catch the first few snowflakes and admire their beauty, then move inside as it blankets the yard with glistening flakes is wonderful, but then reality sets in and shoveling begins. Awesome peom.

You didn't a great job, for your first Limerick, we dint get too much snow here in Ireland so I don't know anything about the pain of having to shovel it!
Well done.
Best wishes

Ciao,
yes, watching the snow fall from the warmth of my loungeroom is beautiful.
I live at 700m and when my father was still alive it was up to me to free his car.
Living in the historical center we don't have a garage and finding one to rent during the winter months was difficult.
I sure did a lot of shovelling .. and sweating. But I would do it again if that meant my father was still here. (sigh)
.
PS. Shame you didn't find a better pic to showcase your winter poem.

Well done on your first attempt at writing a limerick. I want to try writing them, too. Where I'm from, we don't get snow, but it looks fun. Or is it?

Actually I have never seen snow in my life since I live in South India where there is hardly winter. But my cousins in US keep cursing winter and they prefer to come to India during that time .I have seen snow in moviesLOL Thanks for dropping by.
