Bill, This is a very well written and heart-breaking betrayal poem you have penned for the contest. You used very good descriptive words and very good emotions in your words. Picture goes well with your words. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

A winner in my book. Betrayal is evident in the action of the speaker's wife. She did their son wrong too. Enough going on in the lines of this poem to write a novel.
Good luck in the contest.

An excellent poem for the betrayal contest - very sad, as a child was also betrayed, left unwanted. Now the betrayal feels even deeper, with even the child's family gone, and the man left alone. As for the woman? She's long gone and forgotten.Best wishes for the contest.
