What a sweet moment with Mikey and Patches. I used to love watching that Art Linklater show when I was a kid, "Kids say the Darndest Things." And then came the newer versions with Steve Harvey. Thanks for sharing.

I remember that show. I didn't watc much television but I think I saw it once or twice. When I became a mother, especially with Mikey, I had my own real life television show. LOL

Children do have their own way of thinking. This is an amusing and nicely written story. I can picture a boy doing something of this nature, and I lived through similar experiences. Nice writing.

Mikey was mixing things or cracking eggs, or something all the time. Once he dug up all my flowers I had just planted...hey, maybe that's another story to write. He left me with a lot of memories.

Good help is often underrated. I think you rated the help you got in this story just fine. I enjoyed the twists and turns. Patches was a witness to the entire event. In the end, everybody was happy. Fun story.

It's based on a little boy who had a lot of living to do in four short years...and he gave me memories for a lifetime. Thank you for enjoying the story.

Yes - they are good for the soul. I have been stressed lately but thinking about happier times and writing stories about them help. Glad you enjoyed.

thanks, Marilyn. The only problem with Mikey's help...it always created more work. You had to love him though and I wouldn't give back a second of it.

I do understand having raised boys. I do believe every little boy needs a dog to assist them in growing up. It makes life interesting.
They're in time out." He sighed, hoping to show how sad he was. (I would put toys in time out once in a while, too.)

Oh yes! Dogs are essential for boys or girls. I would and still will be lost without mine. They have always been my "pacifier," I guess. They snuggle so well. Thanks for the review.

This is a marvelous story, and I enjoyed very much listening to it. Little Mikey was a handful I would say. But what memories remain of those days when our own children were doing those kind of things. Patricia.

Thanks so much, Patricia for listening to my story and enjoying. Yes, Mikey had a lot of living to do in a short amount of time.
