This was a sad thing to read, yet your response to the situation was uplifting. You knew this animal meant something to someone, somewhere. My sister was on her way to work years ago. She saw an old cat stumbling around so she pulled over and sat next to it. She petted the cat and watched as it took its last breath. She said, "I was late to work, but I couldn't let it die alone." Beautiful.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Hugo the cat. He will be missed along with so many cats and dogs who are found dead along the side of the road. They have no decent burial since their owners are not around to mourn them thus the loss of their love and affection stays around for days spinning while the owners cry about the loss of their pets.
Thanks for this moving tribute to Hugo the cat who will be missed forever.

An angel gently led him to his resting place, knowing that two earthly angels would help Hugo until he could be with his family again. Once again, you and Sunny have gone beyond what the average person would do. I am positive that both of you will find a special place in Heaven.

I was so shocked to see him there, and I was very distressed that poor Hugo died alone away from his home on a cold night. But I am glad in one way he came to me. I wonder why he chose our driveway and not any of the others. Perhaps he sensed it was a good place where he would be treated with respect. Thank you for the lovely review. I appreciate your care.

Sunny was at first just as shocked as I was, and he keeps sniffing that area and also in the nearby garden. I took him out this afternoon and we met that beautiful white kitten again, the one I wrote of not back. Their friendship, today as well, was healing. I found it very upsetting to think of poor Hugo dying alone on a cold night. Many thanks for your lovely review. Wendy

Wow, thank you Wayne for that fine compliment. You are right - that does often happen, and people aren't aware of the effort of trying to perfect sentence structure and placement for bets effect. Great review!
