Hi Carol,
Another warm, nostalgic story that includes grandkids. I love the reference to Gunsmoke. The prank was creative and fun. It never hurts to add the fun in where kids are concerned, even older ones, lol.
Thanks for the heart warming story,
Hugs.

This one came from a memory of my four year old son. He always wore a cowboy hat and sat on a stone in our backyard, with his plastic gun, waiting to shoot whoever might wander into our yard. He had the face of an angel and no one would have thought he'd do them any harm. LOL Thank you again for your kindness.

Carol,
I love this story! Is it part non-fiction? It sounds so real.
The love between the characters is sweet, even charming.
Excellent, Carol!
Best wishes,
Cindy

I always felt my children were my reason for being here after Mike passed, but I discovered, my true love is returned in double-fold fashion from my grandchildren and especially, my great grandchildren. I hope we make enough memories so they will remember me when I am gone. I am thrilled you love this one... It started from a thought of my little boy I lost... he was always dressed as a cowboy. It made me feel good to write this... as if we were sharing a memory.

This is a beautifully written and very descriptive story and I enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed your character last sewing the make-believe ball in the backyard and other things that he did. Always well done and I always appreciate your work.
