I found myself smiling, laughing, and tearing up while reading these interviews. What I came away with from these two ladies is that they've enjoyed a life well lived and graced us by sharing their experiences in story form.
And, Rachelle, it is clear from the tone you've taken that you truly admire both of these ladies, and enjoyed the hell out of interviewing them.
Interesting ... as I was reading this I kept thinking that Lee was being set up for a rebuttal piece. This is quite the book tour these five are on!

Hi Rachelle, this was a fun read. The banter is buzzing around on the paper like only a flock of flies is capable of but without the annoyance. I absolutely loved it. Now I need to see what Led has to say to it all. Lol.

Additionally, you provided small interest-provoking hints as to what is included in the book. I actually recall reading "The Magic of Santa's Christmas Box," when Diane originally posted it here on FS.
I enjoyed reading the responses to your creative questions, like who gets the bourbon, cookie or coal. You injected humor, information about the authors, and a striking endorsement when you said you read the book multiple times, some stories provoking tears. Thank you for this riveting interview.

Great interview, Rachelle. My favorite part of the interview is the Lee bashing. He best hurry with his return in order to better defend himself. I also liked the Raggedy Andy versus Barbie story. It stands on its own and is a cute story. As a mother though, it took on special meaning for me. Parents should not be so judgmental of societal changes. Of course people should be more accepting and not judgmental at all, but I particularly hate to see it imposed on children.

It was such a fun interview to conduct; it truly was. These women were engaging. I didn't have to "draw them out" at all. They just jumped in with both feet and were both honest and interesting with all their responses. You'd be that way, too. WHENEVER YOU'RE READY, I'M READY!!! xoxoxox

So much fun to know that Sir Humpwhistle is still getting ribbed... although I am afraid of what his rebuttal is going to contain! (And wouldn't you know that HIS offering is rated this month at #7, while MY honest and humble offering is rated #8 AND YET, THEY BOTH HAVE THE SAME SCORE! SEE WHAT I MEAN ABOUT LEE?)
Alas! I am still feeling terribly guilty about my treatment of poor Raggedy Andy = so undeserving of my selfish outburst!
And Barbie is still alive and well: just today I read that Barbie's 65th Anniversary is being celebrated in London = 180 dolls - spanning seven decades complete with 250 objects from Barbie's world! Oh my!!! (My cousin could hold her own Barbie celebration!)
Now to your presentation: An exceptional balance of questions and interjections as you weave for readers a little bit of information about Ann and me. Delightful reading.

It helps when I have interesting people to interview, and that certainly describes both you AND Ann. You were good at elaborating; I didn't have to keep going back to that metaphoric well to try to draw you out.
Glad to hear Barbie Truelove is doing well still! Now, will she be staying out year-round, or just for the holidays? I'll have to send you a photo of my red-haired one. Our Barbies could be friends, too!
