This was entertaining and full of humorous stories of when you golfed and bet on the game. One thing led to another and after a while, you became a betting man and used whiskey as your choice of what you would win.
The print was easy on the eyes and I appreciate that. I wasn't interested in the whiskey or golf but the dynamics between you and your friend were intriguing.
Thanks for the laughs.
Jesse

Lol. At least, while the different tournaments were going on you and Kirby had another game going on. I would like to see a game with 18 hole-in-one shots. That might keep my attention long enough to watch a golf game. Good to see you back and sharing a fun post, Terry!

But you didn't bet on the Olympics. This is a fun story about guy stuff. Don't know if girls do this or I would look for the club and maybe get some of the good stuff instead of my Canadian sipping whiskey. Actually, had a tenant die in one of our units and found a Tiffany whiskey bottle full of 1776 Seagrams, but can't convince myself I am worthy to drink a $750 bottle of whiskey.

Carol, you are worthy...the real question is, "Is that whiskey worthy of you?" Thanks, Terry.

This was too much fun not to six star it. I only go to the golf course to wash my . . . . you may or may not get how that pertains to me.

Who wouldn't?:
One might think I envy those qualities. I do.
(Great line.)

This is an exceptional piece you have delivered, my friend. I'm only sorry that I'm fresh out of six stars to give. I loved the ending. I get the whole gambling addiction.
God bless,
Steve

I've only played one complete round of golf, I shot 112, but I didn't like golf, although I loved playing cricket, the golf swing's the same as the orthodox cricket swing with the bat, a lot of well known international cricketer's choice of sport is golf, many are scratch or low handicap golfers, beautifully written, how'd you go at AA, well done, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. I have reservations at AA and Gamblers Anonymous for 01/01/2035. But I wouldn't bet on me making it. Terry.

My brother-in-law was a member of AA for 38 years. A most interesting man.

A very nice story. I try to play every day if not raining.
An easy read with a lot of humor. It also has a nice flow and place.
This reader enjoyed your story even if you don't play.
Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like you should have had a bet on the Olympics as well, to even things up. A very well written story, cleverly composed and engaging, humorous and witty.

Aha, you decided what to do with this after all. I am glad you posted it here. It just isn't the same without you. I have tried to write a story about my family vacation and it just won't work for me.
Anyway, as I was saying before I so rudely interrupted, I loved this story, the fun competition and all the laughs along the way. I especially liked the ending and the AA and GA remark. Too good, and so it having you post today. Thanks so much for both. Debi

I don't play or watch golf but I do enjoy reading your story. It's nice to have a good friend like Kirby work with and play with. You could have played a round of golf to celebrate instead of drinking. I'm a rower, a bicyclist, a swimmer and a skier so you know where I come from. Last summer I climbed two small waterfalls. You can see my profile photo as an evidence.

Well done.
