I am positive you deserved that special treatment. It's rare, in today's world, that a couple makes it to their fifth anniversary, let alone their fiftieth. That shows God is in the center of your marriage. Thank you for sharing this experience with us.

Yes, I may be married over 50 years but I am still in my 60s. LOL, I try to make myself feel younger by saying that. But the truth is this is the thing your grandparents did, not yourself. I guess it is better than the alternative and we are glad we made it.

There are also some minor mistakes such as "six month" instead of "six months" or the conjugation of past conditional in the sentence about the roles you played to get to the red carpet. I can see what matters more to you and readers of this piece is the celebration of the occasion though :).

Chi Phan, first of all I welcome you to the site and I hope we can be good friends. I appreciate the great feedback as I felt I was a little off with this one. I am a poet first and write an occasional prose story on the side, so it is not my specialty. Yet, Grammarly usually catches those mistakes.
If I go in and clean up the errors would you consider changing this to a higher rating? Either way, like I said I appreciate your feedback.

Hi Jacob. Most kids have been in limos before us older adults. Ouch, that hurts to call myself that. LOL..
So my kids did it for prom. Is that one of your times?

When I left primary school the school organised one for our leavers event and then I also went to the theater in one once as well.

But it is no big deal to my kids because one of my daughters is a vice pres. of a big company and she has even been over to see the queen when she was still alive and then of course everyone went in a limo. LOL.

Dearest Sally, you never know that it may make the paper because Reen is the City Administrator of the Ciry of Buffalo. So she is pretty famous around there.
