Yes, God will give us what we need if we just allow Him to do His work and step aside. Too often we try to be in control instead of allowing Him to be in control. He not only provides us what we need - He also provides us the means to help ourselves. Nice work, and I love the picture.

Thank you so much. I enjoy positive feedback. Even when the feedback is negative, if it is genuine I find it helpful.

I enjoyed your poem very much. I like the rhyme scheme, the meter and flow. The poem expresses a truth of life, two sides to everything--we must accept the bad with the good and try to balance our lives. God provides everyone's needs. Well done!

Thank you very much. It makes my heart swell with gratitude when my work is received in such a positive way.

I guess my question for you would be, "Why are there draughts and floods?" I agree that God gave us the earth, the animals, the weather that continues these things, but man is creating extreme conditions that have altered what God intended.
That's my belief.
I liked your rhymes, but I wish there was more here than five lines.
Be well, and have a wonderful summer.

Thank you for your comments. I could have gone on, but a flaw of mine is that I sometimes say too much. I am trying to work on saying much without saying too much.

This poem, Sunshine or Rain, reminds the readers that, in all things, moderation is the key to enjoying life's bounty without being washed away. ............

Our Lord understands there are two sides to every coin and he has seen fit to offer this world of ours the riches and the strife of both. We must accept his graces and learn to live with both, yet keeping faith in his ways.

The sweetest, most sincere verse inspired by your strong faith. It's so true and profound that we need to be challenged in life to fully embrace the goodness with which we are all blessed. Balance is everything as your delightfully succinct and internally rhymed verse proclaims. Thanks for sharing, Nomi. Take care Debbie

The just and unjust experience the goodness of God's Grace and Mersey. When we experience the sadness of rain, the song says, "The sun will come out tomorrow." Your poem also provides inspiration as you remind us that God lovingly provides.

Hi Nomi, a poem of truth. We do need rain, but not so much that it overflows the rivers and breaches the dams. Another thing that we do need is snow. As much as I dislike it, it is necessary. Here in NJ we had our first snowfall this winter after 701 days, and the amount that fell was so little. We live by the shore, so the snow fell, hit the ground, and melted. Over the last few years, I have noticed that some of the pine trees are dying. I think that because they are not getting enough water via rain and/or snow.
Of special note:
Too little can be a curse, too much makes things worse
A thought provoking poem. Perfect photo choice. Well done. Margaret

Amen! And our gracious loving God allows for the rain and sun to come upon the righteous and unrighteous. We can only be grateful and not judge as His grace and mercy are unfathomable. Thank you for this good meditation!

My goodness! How I absolutely love this poem, Nomi! I always love "inner rhyming" with poetry, and yours is a master class on how to do it with panache and aplomb. Thank you for this absolutely delightful read today. xoxox
