Oh yes, this is an excellent honouring of your dad, mine has long past now, he was a Dunkirk vet, a great provider and tradesman, punched above his weight in life, I miss him, was/is your dad an emergency worker Jessica? This is beautifully written my friend, an excellent post. Blessings Roy

Thank you so much, Roy. Yes, my Dad was a fireman/EMT for 35 years. He just retired, but he also owns an electrical business so he still keeps busy (though I'd wish he'd relax haha).

This is a very nice tribute poem to your dad. I am so glad that you had such a father is this. Unfortunately, I did not have this kind of a gentle father. But I did have a very wonderful man as my husband, and he was a terrific father with his daughters. Patricia .

Thank you for sharing this tribute to your dad with this lovely poem. I happen to be a daddy's girl. My dad died about 9 years ago and I still miss him today. Your dad was a true hero. I enjoyed reading.
