Your poem is certainly inspirational and a strongly motivational one for kids. Wonderful stories of some famous people should definitely inspire young people to not give up no matter what they try to do.

This is an absolutely marvelous rhyming poem that truly can inspire kids, as it inspires their parents grandparents aunts uncles and cousins. LoL This is a winner for the contest, and I haven't even read the other entries. Thanks for digging into history and finding somebody that everyone of us could identify with and be encouraged to keep on keeping on.

This is a well written and very informative poem, author. :) Children made know a few of those you mention in this poem and if intrigue they will find out about those other they do not know. This is a very good entry for the Kiddies motivational poem contest. Thank you for sharing.

When you were little did you ever read or have read to you the famous children's book, "The Little Engine that Could"? Same idea, except a picture book.

Oh yesssss!! In fact, Captain Kangaroo used to read it, and I loved it! So you're right: theme and variation on that, for older kids.
