This is a good story, especially since she didn't shoot him. She should collect some things to take with her, like clothes and money she has hidden away since he may never have hit her before, but he was unreasonable. He gets home late enough that he can go to bed immediately and fall asleep, yet he wants his supper piping hot. I don't think she should clean up either. This does have potential for a novel, but he has to come after her and she has to keep eluding him and making herself a new life. Don't think about a series until you get the first book publishable. Also, you have your paragraphs divided correctly, but you do not make a break in the paragraph when you come to a period. Keep the paragraph parts running like a long train with no gaps.

Thank you, Carol, for this excellent, helpful review. This is going to be a crazy ride, and she doesn't intend on leaving him for long as she thinks she can resolve the issue herself.

Very nicely written story. You did an especially nice job on describing Richard because he was certainly easy to hate. If you know how the story ends, you most certainly should go forward in some manner. I look forwad to Dodie Rae getting her revenge on that idiot. Thank you for sharing.
