To begin, I apologize if the mental illness that overcame you was caught from Reading me
The way this story began seemed so familiar it rang true as it read as if written by me. mystifyingly
Then you got past the arthritic dog and wrote of being scared of loud noisy and felt better thinking maybe it was someone else
In conclusion, I loved it.

Lol. I think Rickey would get a kick out of this. It reminmds me of a dog I had for a number of years who also was a ball of fur . We loved her and hated the moment she died. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my gosh. Cutest thing ever! Oh and the writing was good too. :-) I feel compelled to return your 6 on this one. I adore Golden Retrievers. Best dog ever! and yes they totally can smile. Very nicely done.

I enjoyed this tale very much and the takeoff on Ricky Nelson's song. Worth more than five stars. One small concern: "the thunder soon past by." should be "passed by". Gotta go. I'm losing the Internet.

As I told one, it's here one minute and gone the next. Like life, only faster! I ordered wifi equipment which should come in the mail soon and I will set up my own wifi and forget about this building's lousy wifi.

Wonderful! I had the video playing all the way through. Music is the best communicator to soothe that anxiety away. As an owner of terriers (or terrorists as we used to call them), Cooper looks the perfect companion, handsome and loyal, not barking and snapping at anything that moves. Thoroughly enjoyed your excellent post enhanced by your music choice! All I need now is some citronella and a replay! Take care Debbie

Did you know of the song or Ricky Nelson from way across the pond?

Thank you Debbie for reading and teaching the YouTube posting.

    Grazie?

I am positive dogs can smile. My Harley does it often. Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I had fun reading it and listening to Ricky Nelson. I was a huge fan of his back in the day.

I thought this story to be adorable and wholesome. Cooper is such a good boy! The resilience of animals through turbulence is astounding. Once the treat has passed the smile easily returns to their lovely faces.

A delightful story. My brother has had a pit that was afraid of the same things. His Chihuahua has the same affinities. I hope Cooper is well. I like his version of the song, though I like the original by Ricky Nelson as well. Truly enjoyed reading this work.

You?d better like the Ricky Nelson version better. He was a songwriter!

    Thank you so much!

Cute story, John. That looked like a fun club prompt.

I wondered why you didn't go with the name Snow?

Anyhoo, most enjoyable. We have a Goldendoodle so we know the retriever breed is skittish around loud noises.

Great read.
