I thank you so much for your lovely review for my movie. I am sure if you ever saw one of his movies you would never think of it as glib. But America in the eighties was a lot of fun. This was one of my all time favorite movies growing up. Alex Foley (Eddie Murphy) was so dang cool! And taught those stiff white boy cops how to live a little. Although the film pokes a moderate amount of derision at the Beverly Hills police. I think that the film does manage to point out the fact that despite the limitations placed on the police, they are still dedicated to doing the best job they can and they do manage to bring the bad guys to justice in the end.
