Thanx so much, Patricia! Apologies for the delay, but life has definitely happened in my neck of the woods and I'm just finding a bit of a footing here... Hopefully, things will be more consistent 'round the new homestead! Take care and have a great remainder of the week! :-) :-)

Triumphs lie ahead. The purpose of the rearview mirror is to remind yourself how far you've come in the journey!! Congrats for having weathered the storm with your usual pluck and aplomb and panache. A lesser woman would be in the fetal position in some darkened room, drooling on herself. Not my fabulous Southern Charmer, though. She's the one standing tall in the middle of the room saying, "That was your best shot? Oh, puh-LEEEEEASE! Don't make me LAUGH!" So proud to say I know you.

And great poem to summarize it all too!!

Gosh, you always know how to make me smile, Beautiful Lady -- thank you for that!! Still walking forward over here -- worked two jobs for three years to get my new little house and almost five acres paid off and have now closed the door on teaching.... kept the second job (now the ONLY job!!) at the department store and am finally able to breathe and find me again!! :-) Promise to do better in checking in and out here more frequently... feels good to work my pen again!! Take care of you, my long-distance friend, and I'll be seeing you around! :-)

You're a remarkable person and an inspiration. Glad you're in a job that's more fulfilling andvfun...like teaching USED to be, right? Xo

Yes, please do stay in touch. You know you were always one of my faves. Xoxo

This is an excellently structured Essence Poem for the Two Line Poem contest, which is extremely informative in so few words. Good luck at the polls, kay

Powerful and true words expressed in your "Two Line Poem," Yvette.
I am thinking of my nephew who, just two weeks ago, took his own life; how I wish he had known that there were many lifelines available to him.

Best wishes!

That says a lot, Yvette and the words resonate with me a lot after what I've just managed to come through, so I'm guessing from your author's notes you've been to hell and back as well.
I love this contest entry because of it's simplicity of words, and the fact is rhymes and says so much. Well done, dear friend, and good luck in the contest. xxxxx

Very nice overall presentation Yvette!

The message you portrayed is a strong one for this contest entry. Your author note is an important aspect to your thoughts on life. (-:

Keep on truckin'.

Okay. I like this. The picture perfectly matches your words. While short and succinct, the combination helped you to create a theme.

Nicely done and good luck in your competition!

This two-line poem, New Beginnings, has the proper formatting and reminds me that we are stronger in the broken places and buoyed by faith throughout.

I like this poem. Very upbuilding and bright. We need poems like this; there is so much negativity in the world. The picture is good for the words. Good luck in the contest.

This is a great two-line poem entry in that contest. Your internal rhyme (broken/token) and end rhyme (shining/divining) are harder than the usual choice of rhymes. And thanks for the author notes. My only teensy suggestion would be to put a comma after broken.
