This short 5-7-5 points out that there is a need to find a place where there are few expectations if any, even the need to be overtly sympathetic. That sense of feeling 'unencumbered' and 'peaceful' may help rejuvenate the poetic muse.
I am so glad you posted today. I had not seen anything from your great and creative mind for a long time. I also took a little over a year off a while back.
Good luck in the 5-7-5 competition.

I'm with you. I love it when my husband wonders why I'm so quiet and asks "What's on your mind?" And I can honestly answer, "Absolutely nothing." Bliss...

Let go and let God. Gratitude turns what we have into enough. And, as Albert Einstein once said. "the weak seek revenge, the strong forgive and the wise ignore. Love this poem of becoming:)
Stay strong! Loren

First rule of survival, is to take care of yourself first, otherwise you will not be of help to others! Take care my friend.

Agreed. It's a little slice of Nirvana, isn't it? Not easy to achieve without effort, but then, the more times you can get there, the easier it is to find it again next time you need it.
Very cool graphic to accompany your wise thought! xoxo

Yvette,
A most thoughtful idea you created for this entry. Intentional or not, your color scheme makes think of cucumbers with your last line.
Definitely naps happen (to me) when sitting in the sun(light) while reading a book inside or outside.
Mark
P.S. Not a fan of initial caps for these types of poems, but poet's choice or style is accepted. Wondering or wandering (sic) ?

Whoa...what a relaxing and peaceful piece of poetry. Makes one feel like everything is gonna be just fine.
Great mellow piece of work here. Good luck in the 5/7/5 competition. This one should find the podium.

Hello, Yvette!
Your sense of relief is palpable.
I've been there.
Perhaps not exactly where you've been, but you get the idea.
And yes, "unencumbered bliss" is decadent.
Thank you for sharing!
Fondly,
diane

-Effective use of alliteration in line two.
-A good concluding line.
