It is suppose to be true and may not qualify as flash fiction but I thought it was too funny not to share. Below is story I read.
A "campsite horror story" unfolded in the swampy woods of southern Louisiana when a naked woman came out of nowhere and started chasing a man with an ax, according to police.
It happened in Slidell ? as the total solar eclipse was "looming" ? and the woman remains "on the loose," police said in an April 8 news release.
"Let us set the scene. The woods, a campsite, a generous citizen and a nude woman with an (ax)," Slidell police wrote.
"According to the victim, he has been helping a homeless gentleman get back on his feet and make it back home to Mississippi. While checking on the gentleman in a nearby patch of woods, he encountered an angry female, who was completely nude and armed with an old rusty (ax)."

You just can't make up stories like this...the truth out does the imagined words. There are crazies living in every part of this world, but this one is pretty weird.

Thank you Carol. I checked the story out today and they had identified and arrested the lady and taken her Ax. She refuses to wear clothes and has been arrested before for walking the streets with no clothes.

Thank you Debbie. It was on the news as a true story, so I don't know if flash fiction has to be 100% Fiction. The title is fiction because a lady, even a nude one, isn't wildlife. I'll send the actual story by PM.

This is startling and humorous. I can imagine there was many volunteers despite the naked woman wielding as rusty axe. All they heard was naked woman. Hahaha! A fun one for the flash and I wish you all the best in the contest.

Thank you Sally, I appreciate the review and comments. I wondered if the homeless man might not have even wanted to be recused. Since she was so angry, she might have considered him her private property.

"The Naked lady Ax Murderer". You should write the story. While her victims feast on the sight of her treasures, she beheads them. Or in some instances, disarms them, allowing them to run and scream their tales.

Thank you Wayne. She might sue me. I see they arrested her and it wasn't the first time. She walks up and down the streets with no clothes. She must be immune to mosquito bites because the Louisiana swamps are full of when. I think she is tring to exercise what she considers her free rights but the ax was something they not see her with before.

What a bizarre tale. I do like the way you close it with the cryptic comment from the police! I wish you well in the contest, though I'm not sure how the judges view a factual story in a fiction contest. It's a great story anyway!

Thank you Tony. I don't know how the judges see it but both one I won on in the past and one I placed on, were both things I acknowledged happened to me. At least the title of this one is fiction becausewr women aren't usually considered wildlife. It doens't matter. I don't write expecting to win.

I thought it was too funny not to share so it's fine if they disqualify it. However I have won before one that I admitted happened to me.
