This is a good start. You will be read more if you include pictures. You can go to Google, Bing, or Pinterest among others. They are free if you mention where the picture came from in your author notes.

U R Welcome. Karen

Karen: What do you think of the picture
I've borrowed from FanArtReview?

you have a picture of a young kid praying with a poem written by an adult man. A picture of a cross, or rating hands, or a sunset would be better. Karen

I got ya...Thanks!

You are a survivor that's for sure. You've gone through hell and back and still can write lovely meaningful poetry.
I see no spags or typos so anything goes. I know you are entering contests to win. Let's hope that happens.
Thanks for sharing the good word.

Thank you for your service. Vietnam was the war of our generation. I have far too many friends' names on "The Wall."
Your free verse reminds me how very blessed we all are...

Comment from Bill Schott
This poem, Blessed, gives the statement of faith that has followed the poet from birth, through the wars men fight, and into the maelstrom of living. It is good to be blessed.

Comment from Julie Helms
A good poem emphasizing God's grace and mercy and the free will he gives us. All great topics!
This was a great original personification:
in hopes tomorrow sees fit to invite me.
You have a typo in the first line:
Any beath I take (breath, I'm assuming)
Well done! Thanks for sharing. Julie
