Lol. A well-written dialogue, which is humorous, and yet has a point to make. The prank was the result of one hurting man. The dialogue sounded realistic. Best wishes for your entry.

I'm surprised something like that didn't happen in real life. The shoppers of both stores were quite adamant as to which one was best.....and of course, Walmart won. Maybe because they were better or maybe because they had more money and could squeeze Kmart out. Regardless...the story was hysterical.

Heh heh. I guess you might be having a shot at Walmart, we don't have a Walmart here, but we do have K- mart, and they are pretty good. I love the ex manager of K-Mart losing his job because of Walmart, revenge is sweet, beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy

Your Wal-Mart story was funny. I like that you told it mainly in dialogue. I am sure you will do well in the contest. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

What a hilarious story, mystery writer! I love the way you had the former manager of K-Mart wreaking his vengeance on Walmart and it's conglomerate take over of average Joe shopping. I guess I didn't really notice them missing until you brought it up.
Best of luck in the contest,
Rhonda

Well you kept the suspense going all the way through this excellent read and I had no idea where this was going. I loved the dialogue and the way June was trying to get to the bottom of it but Tony was too enthralled to explain it fast enough. And what a vivid ending with James Mason hiding in the rafters with a bull horn and then taken away for evaluation! Judy, as down to earth as ever, is quickly back to practicalities. A great story for a challenging brief. Good luck! Debbie

Mr. Mason either thought he was at K-mart or he wanted to prank Walmart customers. Your story is well laid out, preserving the mystery and suspense until the end. Judy's last question about peas or green beans adds a creative, final bit of humor. Best wishes in the contest.

You kept the suspense going through this little number; I like these quirkly little pieces about strange people and write some stuff like this myself. What I found interesting is that the individual and his life get caught up in this struggle of titanic companies, and it gets to the point that it drives them to do extreme things. Like this blue light special number, a kind of revenge hit. I like how the dialogue is very non chalante, we as readers identify with the couple discussing the crazy guy much as the way we would. But it does point to larger social issues. estory

Nice story.

As much as I don't like walmart, I'm afraid it was Sears ownership/management that put K-Mart out of business.
Best wishes.
