Hi, Wendy. You come across as a selfless person, so from my point-of-view, I'm glad that through this gift to the dogs, you received some recognition for the time and love you pour into people's lives. I also agree with you about how touching it is that they gave the gift in spite of all their dramas.

Thank you Sarah. I get so much pleasure just at the fact that they enjoy the visits of the dogs, and the from the smiles when they see the dogs, so this was a special bonus. Much appreciated review.

Very well written.
People understand and value compassion and empathy. They value it enough to be grateful. But to physically respond with gratitude despite their own very serious concerns is special.
Best wishes.

Yes, to me it was very special. Later, I thought people might think I was a bit silly for writing a story about a dog being given a slice of cheese, but it was the thought behind it, in the midst of their difficult circumsatnces, which touched me greatly. Many thanks for your understanding review.

There is beauty in this world...
You bring it to patients facing battles they never thought they would face!
And occasionally? A small but thoughtful gift... A token of affection and thanks is just as beautiful!
There is hope for this world yet!

Yes, it was a meaningful gesture, a little token of appreciation, and it meant a lot. Thanks so much for understanding. Yes, beauty and hope remain.

Even when we're up against so much, it's always the smallest of gestures that rejuvenate us!

These dogs do a marvellous job in cheering these patients and I just don't know how you fit everything into your life Wendy as you seem to be able to do so many things all at once, you certainly are a champion, love Dolly x x x

Thank you very much Dolly. Yes, the dogs really do a good job, and do seem to make a big difference to patients.

What a beautiful story! You're right - it's so moving that people with so much on their plate take time out to remember the therapy dogs and it speaks volumes for the quality and meaning of your work. I hope Sunny loved his cheese! (I'm writing this with my laptop on my knee while two purring kittens have draped themselves across my chest). :)

Lol. Your little ones already love you dearly, and it?s reciprocated. Such a small thing, re the cheese, but extremely touching. Thank you for a lovely review.
