A message of joy and of hope for the spring that awaits us after the cold dreariness of winter. You have captured a lovely image and feeling in your 20 syllable poem. Good luck in the contest.

The eternal hope of that wonderful season of spring is in this little tribute. We all know that winter comes to an end, the beautiful flowers are on their way up, the long, warm evenings we love to spend walking in the garden are on the way. Down here, it is on the way a little bit quicker. estory

This is a positive uplifting poem that celebrates the change of seasons from winter to spring. I love the picture of the dandelion. I have always been fond of dandelions even though they are considered a weed I see them as a beautiful flower. Let's celebrate the changing of the seasons as soon as they appear.

Oh yes, if one regards the snow as a white blanket covering the ground then indeed there is a green carpet of growth and splendour to guide the inner sight, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

I like your formatting your twenty syllables into 6/4/6/4 instead of just a rhyming couplet as it gives pauses at just the right times. Yes, we are anxious for spring but honestly, not the battle with the dandelions!
Best wishes in the contest!

Beautifully expressed in that economic form. I like the idea of the garden lying there in wait and expectation of emerging in the spring. The cycle of nature is always so pleasing. Well done and good luck, Jess! Debbie

I hope we're not having a false spring; it's supposed to be 70 today. I do long for the hummingbirds. What a wonderfully written poem. Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.
