My wife has had a colonoscopy, but my doctor has decided my PSA levels were always good. But I've never had the 'finger' and I don't want it, but it was very interesting, beautifully written, well done, blessings Roy

    Hello Roy,
I'm glad to hear that your PSA levels are good. As we age, it's fairly common in men to have an enlarged prostate. I already know mine is enlarged, so I don't need anyone poking around just so they can tell me what I already know. I have a friend who said he always looked at the size of the doctor's fingers before he got an exam. He claimed he didn't want anyone with a finger the size of a Snickers candy bar probing him. I understand. Thanks for the great review Roy.
    Have a blessed day.

Very hunorously written - couldn't help laughing at your story (but of course, not at your obvious discomfort!! Lol. Well, sorry, just a little bit. Okay. I'm still laughing. Now, seriously, I hope you are well and stay well!!

    Hello Wendy,
I'm so glad you enjoyed this offering. I wouldn't mind the procedure so much if I didn't have to go through the cleansing process again. I just don't think I'm up to it. On the plus side, I did lose four pounds, but I fear I gained it all back in a day or two.
Have a blessed day my friend.

I have had this procedure Tom and my polyps have now gone. The worst part of it was taking the medicine to clear you out, what a debarked that was, such urgency in that evacuation! It was awful. The procedure itself with a sedative was over and done with quickly. I drove to the hospital and took the bus back as I intended to collect my car the following day. I was a little woozy on the bus and almost fell over! I won't be taking any buses after such an experience again! I think this procedure is worth the inconvenience, however, it is unpleasant, a story worth sharing, love Dolly x

    Hello Dolly,
several other people have mentioned that it's not that bad. I could have handled the procedure I'm sure, regardless of the discomfort, but I'm not willing to go through the prep again. Once was enough. Thanks so much for the thoughtful review gal.
    Have a blessed evening.

Good grief, you went through the prep for no reason! As a rectal cancer survivor, I can totally relate to the feelings you were expressing here. I went in for hemorrhoid surgery at the peak of Covid lockdowns, only to come out of surgery and be told, it wasn't a hemorrhoid, it's a tumor. This was followed by numerous colonoscopies, an uncountable amount of digital exams, lots of prep, lots of enemas. After two years of this, I finally made the comment to the doctor, you have seen my butt how many times now and I have never once seen your face. He laughed and pulled down his mask and smiled. Sorry, that was probably way too much information. But it's your fault, you started it. :-) Enjoyed your story, thanks for sharing! Julie

    Hello Julie,
I'm so glad that you survived the cancer and the treatment. I wasn't totally surprised that the procedure didn't happen. If it's never happened before to anyone else, it will happen to me. That's been the pattern of my life. I thought at first you were going to say you hadn't seen his butt. I hope his face was a good one.
    Have a blessed evening gal.

Thank you! And just to be super clear, I did not ask to see his butt.
Another way to look at it, is because you were in the hospital awaiting the procedure that never happened, you weren't on that road. Stay safe!

Colonoscopies aren't that bad. I have them at every few years. I'm a polyp manufacturer, and I can't risk not find them. I usually wake up during the procedure and watch it on the video. Be a big boy and get one. You may regret not doing it.

    Naw,
I don't think I'm going to subject myself to that again gal. It was a major thing for me to agree to it to begin with. The doctor told me last year that at my age they didn't usually do them, then this year he said maybe I should get one, so I agreed to it. Who knows what might happen if I went through it all again and something else came up. That's kind of the pattern of my life.
    Have a blessed evening gal.

This is really funny and you really should get that test. I've survived it five times because there were those nasty polyps. The second time I managed to get up and try to run. After that the doctor started singing to me as I went under (he has a really good voice) and I never got away again. Of course, I didn't remember who I was for two days after one of them.

    Hello Carol,
I kind of assumed that there were a number of folks who had experienced one already. I should do a lot of things I guess, but I probably won't. I didn't really believe people who told me that you were kind of knocked out, and your story kind of confirms that. Thanks so much for the great review gal.
    Have a blessed evening.

Oh, I was really out and afterward I could have eaten a steak and potato meal. You need to do it because when you are 75 they decide you probably won't die of it anymore (possibly because they assume you will croak soon enough of something else).

    Hi Carol,
I'm soon to be seventy two, so I'm getting close to that time anyway. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the concern gal. Blessings.

Unsure of how old you were at the time of the offering, but my physician indicated he would not require or recommend a colonoscopy for those over 70,and that all I have to cheer on the matter.

I'm seventy one. Last year he had said that I probably wouldn't need one, and then this year he changed his mind more or less. I guess the matter was decided for me. Thanks so much for the fine review Tom. Have a blessed evening.

Hopefully, it was not useful. Good luck. By the way, if you haven't could you read my latest 'Into the Fire.' Seems since Christmas I have either been blacklisted or fallen from favor.

    Hi Tom,
no I haven't read it, but I'll look it up here in just a minute. It seems that sometimes folks I've fanned don't show up. Perhaps I haven't fanned you, if that's the case, I'll fix that now. Thanks man.

I appreciate that, thanks. Did you put in twenty?
