I find you and your family amazing. I don't think I could have taken a disabled or special needs child on, not with three children of my own. This is an incredible story. I am continuing to enjoy it. Gretchen

This had to be a very difficult time for you and your care for Jonathan. I can hear your heart for loving him, and I could always hear your heart of frustration about what was taking place at night. I wish you the very best with all of your writing, and I look forward to the rest of the story from Jonathan. Patric

Oh Wendy, this sounds horrendous! And a recipe for turning everyone else mad. Thank Goodness, your husband was unaffected. And your exasperation would have been further compounded by the totally unacceptable conspiracy of silence from the social workers. I'm absolutely tense just reading about it because, as ever, your writing skill has such immediate impact. I hope (and expect) something will develop to counter this dreadful habit. Mind you, sound-proofing a room would help and that should not be up to you to finance. Small suggestions: I would have kept 'someone' as one word rather than hyphenated; Why had no one (had - redundant).. This is a superb, utterly immersing write and I just wish I had a ton of sixes. Thank you, Wendy. Debbie

Thank you Dbbie, particularly for the pickups. We were taught that someone had a hyphen in the dim dark past, but it doesn't so i am trying to break the habit. I appreciate your sharp eyes for both pickups. I hope you'll continue with reading - there is a lot to come, which was much more harrowing.

Oh my goodness, Wendy!
I cannot believe how you and your family was challenged by Johnathan's inability to sleep at night and his laughing. So dishonest for his former caregivers to not share that important bit of information. But something tells me that you were able to discern what to do, and I am looking forward to reading about that in your next installment.

Blessings to you, friend...
Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much Diane. I appreciate your review. Yes, I found a solution (probably would not have been approved but the "authorities" did not have to cope with what I was going through!)

I know it was years ago, but it certainly seems that Social Services pawned Jonathon off on you. The social worker who left just before this was not forthcoming as well with your family.

You have guts and tge heart of an angel, Wendy.

Thank you John for this lovely review. I've always been too trusting and have been let down many times. But as his story unfolds, there were lots of much worse things that happened than the withholding of information.

Very nicely written and arranged.
And little wonder I was having trouble getting to drink water! - (him)
Sleep is paramount, the basis of health, well-being, and success. It must have been horrible. Sleep-deprived people have accidents and behave badly. It's a wonder no along the way didn't do something bad. The falsity of the agency was atrocious.

Thank you Wayne. I'm afraid I've always been too trusting (and naive), and so have often been let down badly. Thank you for the pick-up. I appreciate your good eyes!

The dilemma must have an answer to come though I don't see what it could be unless doses of medication. You have led me to the water, and I await the results.

That would be the most difficult thing to overcome, the negative emotion, it's only been in recent times that I understood, that Jesus in human form would havev felt as we do, but yet did not sin, self control is a fruit of the spirit, yes, Hodvtold me my emotions are are my servants not our master. That is your experience, well done, blessings Roy

It's challenging to read about the failure to provide crucial information and the lack of support from services that had been promised to you. It must have felt very manipulative and terrifying.

Yes, exactly right. I have always been too trusting, and never seem to learn! Thanks so much for reviewing.
