This entire presentation, with your well-crafted poem, actually remind me of a few people I have known in life. It is so important to keep grounded in what is most important. I think the image matches perfectly, and we all must make such choices even several times within day. That's why I pray a lot. God is 247365. He's used to me. lol

Best wishes,

Alex

It's often hard to stay grounded, with so much around us to pull our heads into the clouds. The only real solution is that which you mentioned: pray--a lot. Thank you, Alex, for this great review. Take care. - Jamison

The higher one aspires to be a person of power and influence, the more one must watch that the soul is not sacrificed to the ego. Division is the usual result, along with hatred. Best wishes for your entry.

Your words were strong and powerful. It warns the reader of what can come when you seek power. Everyone thinks they can handle it but one person should never have too much.

So much said in so few words in this dramatic and salient post. Well rhymed too with even your title description in fine poetic form. I enjoyed this with its forceful sentiments fluently expressed with pleasing alliteration. Well done! A great entry! Debbie

Hateful seeds when sown are hate seeds and it's not what our Jesus would want us to plant. When there are sports, we should never show this side of anyone's character. There's enough hate in the world today to outweigh the crown of the Almighty.

You are so right, Rosemary. Jesus asks us to be sowers of seeds, but not seeds of hate.

Thank you for your review. - Jamison

Yes, power for the sake of it is a mighty dangerous thing. So many times in history, it has been proven again and again. And yet man repeats his error again and again. I loved your ten words poem. Ulla:)))

Julius Cesar, Cleopatra, Solomon, Saul, David. Genghis Khan. Many men have gained what seemed to be the power of the world. None were able to hold onto it for very long. Each was replaced. If it cannot be retained, it was only theirs on loan, held in trust for someone else to gain. Therefore, what was the point for all that thriving, conniving and struggle?

Wow. This is such a profound message and you've managed it while only having 10 words to use. This is why I'm giving it 6 stars. And, to top it off, it even rhymes. I wish you the best of luck in the contest!
