Oh yes I agree with you about scammers, they are a plague on the fields of humour endeavour, they are to be despised entirely, they do absolutely nothing for betterment of man, they are a curse, and probably, like politics, we deserve. Beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Yes, sir, scammers lie in wait for all us suckers "ripe for the picking." And I have to be honest, they'd got me a few times over the years, like most. Mad as it makes me though, I'm still glad I'm still willing to help those supposedly in need. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Hey, Brett, as you know, I don't post often. But I have one more chapter to close out the Tucker series that I'll post just after the first of the year. I haven't wanted to ask questions, but I hope everything is on the improve for you. Merry Christmas and I hope you have the happiest of New Years!

Brett, This is information that is so needed by all of us at this time of the year. I have gotten to where if I see something suspicious on one of my friends pages, I will check it out. Sure enough it is a scammer and I will delete that person. I have done that so many times on my own page also. They are just full of evil trying to scam whoever they can. I would only add that if people weren't so wrapped up in the tax break thing and want to give only because they feel the urge to Give, then why not scout your very own neighborhood for those alone or in need and give to them anonymously...THAT is where the true SPIRIT of the season resides. In kindness that is not tax-deductible but is the true gift. The feeling that comes from that is money-in-the-bank that the IRS can never touch.

This is why I don't like answering phone calls and stuff, haha! I feel bad for actual charities out there, but there's sooo many scam ones! I'll begin keeping copies from now on for donations, etc. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this post about scammers with us. It seems they are really targeting the elderly, who honestly believe they are helping somebody. My girlfriend, since the 1980's will be 77 next month. She's got to where she calls before giving money or buying anything when people come to the door, because she's been out thousands of dollars. It's sad.
