I feel so sorry for Emma's birth mother. It's not nice when your family won't help you and she had no choice but to leave home. It wasn't her fault what happened to her afterwards. And Emma must understand that. This was a very well written chapter, my friend, and a fabulous read. :)) Sandra xx

Another fine chapter, Barbara. There was a lot of emotion, I could feel, during Seth and Emma's conversation, and I can see that Emma is still reeling from the facts about her mother that she has learnt. I am glad that Seth is staying by her side. An excellent piece. I really enjoyed it.

I'm so glad that Emma decided to stay put and talk things out - she infuriates me when she goes off in a huff, lol! We are learning a lot about her mother and those unfortunate circumstances of her birth.

I found no errors, Barbara. It didn't seem like 1700 words, probably because of all the dialogue.

Glad you enjoyed your Thanksgiving - we had 10 family members at our house for a week and I'm exhausted tonight!

Have a great week.

I think your audience will enjoy this chapter, as things seem to be wrapping up. You got in sexual abuse by men (Emma's mother.) I thought it would be Emma, given her characteristics. An Author must stick to their guns. I give you props for sticking to tried and tested formula. If it works, don't fix it.

I'm glad you're granddaughters came to visit. I'm sure they added to your Thanksgiving. I didn't see any problems in the chapter. It is written very well and flows very well as different things go on with Emma and Seth.

It's nice to see them sharing personal feelings and their relationship developing. Emma isn't as shy as she used to be. I liked the scene with Seth trying to get his T-shirt off. It was a way for Emma and Seth to talk about emotions and feelings. They have both been through a lot, and misunderstandings are going to happen, but they don't let them get in the way.

By the last section of the chapter, they are more like themselves. You did a good job with the ending, and Emma will probably be upset with Seth when she wakes up!!

Well done!

Oh, man, so close to a first kiss. LoL

I can't belive it has only been 25 days since they met.

I'm not used to old fashioned love affairs, I never had one. I never had a man that care so much for my well-being. Well, I did with my first boyfriend in Spain. I was only 15 years old but we loved each other very much. I moved away to California. Sometimes I wonder how my life would have turned out if I stayed. But I wouldn't have my children so things happened as they should.

A lot happened in a short time, Seth is right about that. But I'm glad they talked it out.

Well done, Barbara, another winner.

What a dramatic chapter with lots of background as to why and where things came from. Once again, a very good read and you have us keen to see more. No spags.

I could not stop reading. I love the communication between Emma and Seth. Though I'm just joining the story, I understand so much that happened prior because of the way you have them talking about and dealing with stuff.
I'm glad Emma let Seth explain and help her. This sets the stage well for letting God help her.
Bravo! Can't wait for the next chapter!

This was clearly written sorting out of things between Emma and Seth. The fact that they struggle to communicate came across very well. kay
