Of course, you speak from experience because you know that Dick is close by and he's with you even if he's not there physically. Thank you for these reassuring words for Sandra! ð???

This is a lovely poem. I wish I had another star to give you. Writing from Ian's POV is a wonderful idea. As long as memory lasts, our loved one is always there to warm our memories.

Hello, judi!
Your tribute poem for Sandra's brother, Ian, is incredibly well-crafted and resonates with how I imagine happens when the family gathers for Christmas following the passing of a loved one.
I always feel the presence of my parents and grandparents.
I know Sandra will deeply cherish these tributes and the memories of her beloved brother...
Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for your review and comments, and special thank for the six-star rating. Much appreciated. I know I always think of my departed relatives, and not just at Christmas. We do feel their presence. I even think frequently of my pets that have died. judi

It sounds like you're sensitively written from Ian's viewpoint, connecting with some comforting and thoughtful words, because he's in that ultimate place of comfort and joy, peace everlasting with communication, and it indeed has happened with messages from the 'other side' beautifully written Judy, blessings Riy

We most certainly do feel the presence of a loved one even after their passing. It's a wonderful feeling and somewhat lessens the grief for a few moments. I love your poem. especially the repeated line, "I'll be there."

Ciao Judi!
I am not familiar to this member. Does she have a username? Not sure who died .. a husband, a son or daughter , a sibling?
Sadly we have all lost dear ones so we know the pains the grief , your lovely words will be of great comfort to Sandra and help her through this difficult time.
Keep safe!
