I really liked your perfect metre, lovely rhymes and uplifting imagery here. The motif of light and the guidance it provides for those of us looking above is a really lovely way to reflect upon the connection between ourselves and those who have gone before us.

This I super beautiful.
Even though the topic is one of great sadness, I'm happy to see Sandra's book growing.
I like the way you've managed to see the positive side of this. Nobody can spare us the grief, but at least there's hope.
I also spoke about stars, but my post is much worse than yours.
Thanks for your beautiful tribute.

Very nice image and presentation, Robert, along with a wonderful title and poem to go with it.
I also like your note, and I know Sandra will appreciate it all, too.
A lovely poem with many comforting images and rhyme. I like your line about "peace in elevation" and the premise that Ian has joined a constellation. It provides a wonderful way to remember someone and know they are at peace, still sharing their light with us. You describe that very well in the second verse. I also like "the majesty of peace" and the concluding verse.
Thank you for sharing it.

I loved the "lamppost on each corner of Heaven's pearly gates." It's comforting to think of our loved ones who went ahead shining like stars and reminding us of a bright future beyond this world. Thank you for writing this for Sandra!

This is so beautiful, Robert!
I love the simple comfort this poem exudes. It allows one to feel peace and, in Sandra's case, begin the grieving process from a place where a light burns bright forever. Best, JohnC

This is imaginative, creative, and well written. The presentation is colorful and beautiful, supporting your carefully chosen words. So, ALL of that is so wonderful. But the most significant part of it all is the support. What you have written can soothe a distraught heart. I'm so sure Sandra will be drawn into this incredible imagery and the thought of Ian at Peace.
So impressive!

This is a lovely peom for Sandra. If we can realized who those who have gone on have become a part of a much more wonderful existence free of pain and suffering, it would lighten the dark cloud of sorrow that hangs over the those who love and miss them.
