Don't feel guilty. I'm a strong swimmer and I would have probably died trying to save them. It's foolish to swim in a desolate place, although I have done the same thing. Jack and I went snorkeling alone in the Bahamas away from everyone. I shudder to think what could have happened if anything had gone wrong.

Oh my gosh. That's a heartbreaking thing to witness. Of course, I'm like you about not being a strong swimmer. It would have been two drowned. Sometimes we witness things that change us and all for reasons we may never understand. Stunning and powerful. Good luck in the contest. Gretchen

If I had gone in I would have been useless, unable to help. But it seemed wrong to just sit there wondering if I was watching some-one drown. Thanks so much for a most understanding review.

That's a very sad story, and one that has stayed with you throughout your life. I have had a few traumatic experiences that have stayed with me, but thankfully they did not involve anyone's death. We are competitors in this contest. Best of luck.

I would think the dot in the distance would have become very agitated if their companion had just drowned. Good story for the contest.
