I can see how this could ruffle some feathers but for me, I found it humorous.
Your choice of photo clearly showed your intention on perspective, it may come off political, which is a white hot topic.
This is a great example of a Senryu verse.

Looks to me as a fit to the Senryu form, correct syllable count and points to an aspect of human nature that we see all too often. I just walked my dog in the park and saw messages on T-shirts that were just strange. I don't know if you'll win your contest, but you won a smile from me! Bill

No offense taken by any means. I'm as patriotic as they come but also a realist.
Anyone who does that to their hair doesn't show a sign of patriotism, only insanity.

Hi Ric, I love that you picked up on the meaning of this as it shows two different perspectives from the same person. I think we all have inner-others that change for us throughout our days. Depending how we are at that given moment. Maybe it was the inner-geek in me that found the humor in it. My kids will tell me, mom you are such a geek, and I always say thank you.
