Man, oh man, you talk about gut-wrenching. Here you just managed to escape the gates of hell, only to find a note from the devil himself, telling you that it ain't over. What is he going to do to you next, and what about your dear loved ones? Oh, my goodness.

Thank you so much, Nomi, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. Your great review reads like a promotional billboard that makes even me want to go back and read it again. I appreciate you, my friend, along with all your continued encouragement!

How naive am I? I thought a Churro was the fried dough you got at the fair:-)

Well, of course a drug dealer's house would have an escape door covered by a throw rug - they all do!

I think you want your hermit craps to be hermit crabs.

Love this: Rats squealed, a tone-def rodent-choir ensemble, led by an offkey chorister . . .

All the books on writing tell you to start the story with conflict and add action and great dialogue. Check, check, and check!

I can't wait to see how this all wraps up. Please tell me you have chapter 10 waiting in the wings.

I actually thought for a moment you were going to let Tucker burn, but you saved him to live on for one more chapter. A revenge chapter, I hope.

Until then . . .

Thank you so much, Pamela, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. And now, you and those damn craps, I mean crabs, have me so tickled that I can't stop laughing long enough to type this reply. I appreciate YOU!

Well look who came back to thrill and chill us! It's been a minute, stranger! It's been a wild ride (with a bit of a pause in between)--but you sure did slam this into first gear and press on the gas! (Yikes, your font got to LARGE this time!--or am I delusional?)

Sad to see the next chapter will be putting these babies to bed. In an odd sort of way your breathtaking prose leaves me so drained I'm almost certain I could sleep sometime before 3 AM!

Bravo.

Karenina

You have certainly missed your calling. You could be the greatest promoter ever, or sell ice to Eskimos. And your encouraging words make me imagine myself as a real writer. LOL. Thanks for another of your kind and caring reviews. You?ve made my week!
    I appreciate YOU!

Wow! What a chapter. Full of tension described in great detail. Finding that note at the end of their escape shows the bad guys knew this was their only escape. Killing people they care about to make them suffer.

This was tortuous to read. And I mean it in the most honorable way I can. I found myself holding my breath, recoiling from the monstrous rats. Every emotion you wanted to put your characters through, well, you dragged me along with them. I don't know about the other chapters because I don't remember seeing any posts from you for a long while. This was very high energy and tense. Then as soon as I can breath they find the damn note. Thank you so much, Gretchen, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. Since I don?t post often, I?ve drug this story out for about 2 years. And damn I?ll be glad to close it out. LOL. I appreciate your stories, kind reviews, and your witty and encouraging comments.

This is an excellent chapter. I have not read the previous chapter. Your writing pulled me into the scene. I could feel the fire and was disgusted by the sewage. I do not see any need for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Thank you so much for your kind words and generous review. It's hard to read and totally understand everything that's going on in a multiple part story by only reading the most recent. I'm just glad you liked this part and took time to read it. Much appreciated!

Wow!!! You did a great job writing this. I had almost forgotten about this story. Thank you for sharing it with us. This is a really good writing. You did a good job writing the descriptions. Now, get these two to the hospital.

It's about time you treated us to a bit more of this story. It much have taken some time to figure a way out of this burning inferno. Here you have them escape from an impossible situation that even Houdidi couldn't have emerged from unscathed and the captors were so sure they would figure a way out that they left them a note? Hmmm.... Okay, I'll buy it. Try not to wait so long next time.

Thank you so much, Beth, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. You're exactly right in that I painted my characters into such an impossible situation that it took me a long time to figure out how to get them out of it. LOL. I appreciate YOU!

I assume this must have gone to you twice. I looked on google to see why this keeps happening and they said I have loose connection in my router when sends the message more than once. So far replugging it isn't working.

It did come twice. But since I so much enjoy hearing from you, I answered it twice. LOL. :-)

Am sure "alIve time hastily dwindled." Means PDQ!

Roasted alive. What a way to perish.

"dying worms in agony". Awesome illustration.

"Inferno growing hotter" should be inferno grew hotter.

"Double cross the cartel". Was any other reason needed?

What an ending. Screams write more. NOW!

Thank you so much, Brett, for your always encouraging reviews and kind words. And for taking time to point out my blunders. I'm sure there aren't as many as there used to be when you had to correct pages. LOL. I always appreciate YOU!
