This is a nice twist to your story. It keeps getting better as time goes on. I truly enjoyed this chapter and am looking forward to the next one. Keep writing, and I will keep reading. Excellent work.

Awww, thank you so much, my friend! I had to go ahead with the fantasy. I was starting to bog down in criminology, lol.

    Take care,

This rocked my morning! It's so well written, my friend. I was in a panic in the last section for Echo. I just knew Theo would reappear. Now, he's been masquerading as Officer Bradley thus the familiarity. I'm glued! Can't wait for more! Exceptional!

Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs

Thank you so much for the star spangled review, Sally! I had to go ahead and reveal Theo as some of the reviewers were starting to catch on, lol, and two actually picked up on Junior.

I?m afraid it?s now in the realm of fantasy, my dear criminologist, but I?ll still try to keep it logical. If I stray, keep me in check, lol.

    Hugs,
    Rhonda

Good artwork and story to go with it, Rhonda. It held my attention all the way through, and the detail of each scene was excellent. You have us wondering who Officer Bradley really is, and why he is dressed that way and also at the party. He is very open and direct when answering Brian's questions.

Claude also asks a good question and Bradley is still very direct in his answer. They set up a good plan to get everyone home safely, but it doesn't work out as smoothly as we would have thought. The slick roads don't help, but there is more going on that we are aware of.

For some reason we don't know yet, others are interested in Echo and seem intent on her not being able to give an account of what she knows or write more stories. She is very smart and goes back to what she knows after slipping away from these men who probably want her as their prisoner or killed. You do a great job building the suspense until Echo manages to break away and resort to what she remembered a long time ago about the forest and trees. She is not disappointing and neither is the reader. A very good ending and great storytelling, my friend.

Pam, thank you so much for the 6 stars! They are a good start to a morning!

Thank you for the detailed review, as well. It was a bit long, but I really couldn?t find a breaking point that would allow me to switch to fantasy.

Some of the reasons for the specters, she won?t fully understand for a while. The answers are in Theo?s homeland, where they will eventually get to, but not without peril.

I?m glad you noticed the directness. Theo was in a hurry, and the pictures and Junior?s presence at the party made him have to up his game.

Thanks again and I hope you have a great day!

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Rhonda. Thanks for sharing in your reply, and you have a great day, too. We are actually supposed to have some nice weather. A lot of rain has been in the Northeast.

This is good, really very good. Her childhood friend has shown up to save her from the evil pursuing her. I wonder why she felt so distrustful of him and trusted Junior, when they were the opposite of who she should trust.

Thank you so much for the 6 star review, my friend!

The trust thing was because everyone said the man who did it had light colored eyes, and Junior?s were brown, and because the old lad, Bessie, she had talked to said she thought the officer had done it. The power of suggestion!
