Well, that's certainly mysterious, a beer bottle propped up against mailbox post. It has to be a message of some sort. Miranda better keep her eyes open.

Thank you so much. Yes, Miranda might become the hunted instead of the hunter. Gretchen

A good chapter. I wonder about a few things. Cheating spouses isn't a crime or a rare occurrence (and a secret in a small town?) Also interfering in it, is rife with pitfalls. Miranda is no young innocent virgin. I'm surprised she would get involved, nosy or not. Also, such a small town that she quickly finds her targets car, but he doesn't notice her following. And if it is that easy to follow him, Miranda doesn't wonder why the wife hasn't done it for herself. In end what does Miranda get from this, but more pain for her friend, and possibly for herself? It may be a good idea to show that, as an additional moral to the snoop story.

notes:

It [is] supposed to be lunch with Momma and then going to watch Mitch

- It was supposed to be lunch with Momma and then going to watch Mitch

There are two things I know to be true.

-There are two things I believe to be true (How would she know?)

first few letters that made their way into my mailbox. It's Missy's world.

-Why doesn't she tell the prison not to send them to her?

Either way, someone is toying with me and I aim to find out who and why.

-Couldn't she just ask Mrs. Fine?

Very good review. Miranda's character acts before she thinks. She also thinks she knows what's best for everyone. Since she's trying to find out if Bill is cheating, her motivation is to save Rita from being a laughing stock (she feels like she was made a fool of when no one told her about her ex husband.) I think I answered all of the questions. Thank you for catching those spags. Very much appreciated. Gretchen
