Oh yes, although it's not been active in my life, indeed, it does happen to a lot of people, a recurring dream, there's two dreamers in Bible history, Joseph and Daniel, which were incredibly important to the formation of the Hebrew nation, and with interpretation and Daniel in which some haven't been fulfilled yet, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Yes, a recurring bad dream can haunt us and like the person in your flash fiction it comes when we least expect it to and we never know how to face our deepest nightmares.

R.B.D.? I lost her at the age of three, for a lil while but she came back when I entered the B.S.A. and the counselor spoke of the N.J. Devil before we hit the sack on a camping trip. That lastest til I entered the U.S.N. for ten years. I haven't seen her since.

Very well said. Many of us have a negative influence in our lives. I guess, if you realize this about her, you should stay firm and say no. Because if you give in to her invitations, it would be affecting your ego and self worth. Who is she to pay such a price? Nobody.
So stay a little firm when she invites you on another havoc (lol). Say you are busy.
A great write, I enjoyed it. There are energy suckers like her.

I had quite a few bad dreams as a child, but I can't remember the last time I had a really bad one. In fact, I almost never remember any dreams.
