This story showed how the relatives of one race blend with other races easily and with very little difficulty. I agree a lot of those with ignorant minds can make huge mistakes since we are all one under the skin. There are so many of us who can learn this important lesson!

Thank you so much for your generous and supportive comments.

Yes, my friend. You write excellent prose, and I would say better than poetry. I hope I can be so bold as to say this.
-
Thank you so much. I am trying hard to allow my head to swell over much.
-
Acceptance is the key, my friend.
-
I agree wholeheartedly.

You did a great job with the details of your
story, Nomi. The words, ones, and dialogue
flowed smoothly. I could see everything as I
read. You gave readers much to think about.
DNA is an inclusive part of everything. Many
would be surprised to learn about their ancestors'
DNA as to what they think and what is the truth.
Thanks for sharing, Jan.

It has been said and I do believe it. DNA does not lie. The person of that other race that you think you have reason to hate could very easily be your cousin, uncle or aunt.

When we come right down to it, there skeletons in every family's closets that upon examination had multicolored skin. Deny as we might, we are all one family descended from the same couple yoked by God. Much ado about nothing...beneath their skin, Granny Smiths and Macintosh are both apples.

Well said. True to the bone. While hatred among brothers is common, hatred because of complexion is just dumb.

I don't care how attractive someone is or how much charisma someone has. Bigotry is ugly. At least Sally found out before she'd invested too much time and effort into him. Great story. Gretchen

Thank you Gretchen. He made the mistake of thinking his preference was the only one that mattered.

Hmm, well, this is an easy-to-understand story. It has a good theme and moral lesson to learn. It is written as to make it's point clear. I do have to say, and this goes for the notes too, that it is very cliche. Everything is written safely from a 'certain' perspective told again and again and again, as if only bigotry and racism come from one source. Even the male being the idiot, schooled by females is cliche.
It is your choice to see the world your way, but it is far from factual.
Good luck to you.

Unfortunately, a common occurrence still although more under the surface.
The flow is good. The language is comfortable and warm. The end is as expected and reflects real life too much. The narrative stays on point. The images are clear.
Thanks for a good read.

I agree. We are all related as human being. I'm sure no matter what color I skin seems to be, all of us have a little of the DNA of other races in our makeup. What race we are isn't what defines us.

You are exactly right, and you said it very well.
It's listed as fiction, but it's fine that Sally moved on. Too bad , though, that John didn't have an opportunity to apologize.
(The guy in the middle looks like Morgan Freeman.)
Best wishes.

Thank you for a great review. The photo is a stock pic, it could well be Morgan.
