Lol love your humour, always. So the event in your life is the win? No, it's the dream! Love the way you are so "sarcastic" about the win and its value, and yet so "earnest" about your desire to win, and also make subtle fun of both the contest and the entrants. Maybe come full circle back to the dream so readers can see that the dream is the big event. Well done and best wishes!!!

Reminds me of Kingfish on Amoa & Andy. Always scheming away to hook someone out of a few bucks no matter what it took. Hope you win the thing and then what?

You've got to be kidding me! I can't believe you spent all this time worrying and wishing for a hundred-dollar prize for wasting time wishing for a prize when all you wrote about was the work you put into writing and keeping yourself awake worrying about this contest.

Parts of this were very entertaining, but somehow it didn't feel like a story to me. I think you need to find a concrete reason why you deserve the 100$, not just because you want it and will find it useful, and incorporate this into the text. kay

Thank you.
Comment from Mintybee
This humor fiction moves from realistic and funny, to unrealistic and absurd. The story starts with kind gifts for the wife, moves to losing the relationship, to the wife grounding the narrator by scoffing at the entry. The tone was wry and amusing. The content was imaginative.

Thank you for the great review, Mintybee. I appreciate the generous stars. I'm glad you saw this ridiculous piece as humor. Some folks seem to not see it that way. Oh well, what can you do? I'm glad you liked this silliness. Have yourself a great weekend.

I would suggest you reclassify this as non fiction as the terms of the contest require it to be 'about an event in your life. As it is I can see it being DQ because an event in your life cannot be fictional by definition.

Aaaahhhh. Great idea. Thank you for pointing that out, Jim. It doesn't really matter though, I'm not planning on seeing a win put on this dumb piece anyhow. Lol. Plus I have a half a year to fix it. We'll see. I appreciate the review and stars, friend.

It sounds like one hundred dollars goes a long way in the US, to be honest 100 dollars hardly pays for a meal our for two people in the UK! Ha ha ha! I hope you win it with this write as it is inventive and humorous, love Dolly x

Lol. Yeah, a hundred dollars doesn't do a whole lot over here either. I just love dramatic sarcasm. Haha. Thank you for the great review and good luck wishes, Dolly. I'm glad you liked this silliness.
