Thank you for sharing this loss with us. I will pray for healing. I do understand how losing a pet hurts. I have lost a few pets during my time. They are like family members to me as I know Sunny was to you.

Jesse, I am truly sorry to read this. For over forty years, I was "Cat Daddy." We had seven cats during that time, some started as kittens, and a couple were older. I think you did a wise thing in writing a tribute to Sunny. I think that helps.
I started doing that on July 6, 1998. The first sentence was, "One the same day that Roy Rogers died, so did Oscar Broxson Kitty Cat."
Well done. Don't wait too long. Terry.

Thanks, Cat Daddy, for the lovely review.
I appreciate the six stars and your understanding review. This was hard to write yet it also was cathartic.
I won't wait too long to find another kitty companion!

Another fine write, Jesse, and so sorry; one of the most unfair things about this life is our pet's lifespan is much short than our expected one, I still miss our neighbor's cat, gone for twenty years, as well as my own pets throughout the years, but at least they blessed us by sharing their life with us

Thanks, Mike. Sorry, it took so long to get back to you. I have been listening to music and audiobooks instead of reading my reviews on FS.
You are right. Our pets bless us by sharing their lives with us.

I'm so sorry for your loss, As a dog lover, I know the grief of losing what becomes a member of the family, the day you welcome in the house. Tears would one day dry away, but memories will be here to stay. I hope those memories of Sunny will always be pleasant and make the days of grief more tolerable for lessening the tears.

Oh Jesse, I'm so very sorry to read of Sunny's passing! Anyone who is a friend of yours knows how very much you loved her and how comforting she was to you. I hope writing about her has given you a small sense of peace. You honor her with your words. Yes, yes! By all means, you must move forward and keep up with your daily activities as you can...but Sunny will always be with you, in your heart!

Yes. Sunny will always live in my heart.
I want you to know that I am always honored when you decide to review me.
You always told me not to apologize for being late with replies, so, I won't go there!
Thanks for being my friend and I know you understand what it has been like for me these past days and weeks.
There are times when I cry and other times when I listen to music to calm my soul.
Either way, I will always remember Sunny and her loving way!
Jesse

I was off for a while why I dealt with some health issues-- and I'm likely to have missed a few of your posts. (Sorry!) But, my friend, I'm always happy to see a notification that you've written. Of COURSE, never a reason to apologize for replying! That you do so at all is heart-warming. I know you must be missing Sunny so much -- Again, I'm so sorry for your loss! ~~ Karenina

You are a good friend!
Sunny is in my heart, and she will always be remembered.

I'm saddened to read this, Jesse. I know how important a furry companion can be. Our current cat has been helping our daughter overcome PTSD. And she's not the sweet and friendly cat like Sunny. I'll be praying for another dear companion for you soon and that you will be able to do more with David to keep you from falling into depression. It is hard to overcome such loss of a companion like Sunny.

Oh dear, Jesse, I am so very sorry. I can see your very raw grief and heartbreak. Please accept my condolences and thoughts and prayers. I know how much this precious one meant to you, and you also meant the world to her. You gave her a wonderful and happy life and the gift of being loved. You are wise to be on your guard against depression; I found the same after my previous dog died. The journey of grief is a hard road. Sending my best wishes and support during this hard time.

Jesse.
I feel your pains, my friend.
We've put three dogs to sleep in the years we've been married. Shelby was 14, Mindy 16 and Chloe 12.
I cried the night each left us. They, like Sunny become a huge part of our lives.
Well written from the heart.

dear Jesse, may I offer my sincere condolences at the loss of your beloved pussycat pal Sunny. She was a good age at fifteen though and I have a feeling she may have grown tired and so the angels came and took her to where she is able to sleep in the sun, play with leaves that rustle underfoot and enjoy a snack of her favorite food. All without the pains of old age slowing her gait and filling her days with hours of suffering. I had a cat called Tuppence who was a "cat with attitude". She lived life on her terms, like it or lump it. She was past her seventeenth birthday and riddled with arthritis when I had her "put to sleep" by the kindest and most understanding vet you could ever hope to meet. He allowed me all the time I needed before and after he'd sent her on her way and sat chatting to me about how special she'd been in life. I laid her to rest out in our very large back yard in a place she used to sit and "meditate". Her golden eyes closed, her front paws wrapped around with her long tail, the tip barely moving. Vale Tuppence. Vale, Of the twenty cats we had during our fiftyfive year marriage Tuppence was the fiestiest, the bossiest, the naughtiest cat of them all. And I loved her to bits, Just the same way you feel about Sunny.
Give yourself time to heal and, who knows, one day another feline companion may cross your path, you'll be smitten and happy ever after. cheers Cass
