Now I'm wondering if there is something going on in Emma's mind that comes from something other than strict, or old-fashioned upbringing. To me (and I've been wrong before) it seems that too much is being made of using one's first name. That is the reason I am being led to believe something might have happened in Emma's past that keeps her away from developing relationships.

I'm glad I don't get bad sunburns anymore. I went scuba diving one time in Hawaii and came up before everyone else, and my burn was so bad my skin turned gray. I missed work. You did a great job as always. Have a wonderful Sunday evening. Shirley

I've only had one really bad sunburn. I was in Spain. Normally, I didn't burn so I was really surprised. Thank you for the kind review.

This is very interesting and well written as always. I did not see any spag or error. I am with you and Seth. Why didn't she answer him? Maybe she has a dark secret she doesn't want exposed in that town. Great job as always! love and blessings, teri

You are doing an excellent performance with these two.
Seth wants to use first names. I see nothing wrong, misleading, romantic about it. It's their names. Calling him Chief is a matter of respect for his position, but he sees her multiple times daily. Now she's willingly rubbing his back with aloe. He tenuously pulls up his shirt with respect for her.
Nothing wrong using a persons name... but we'll see.
Good chapter!
Cheers...

Temptation when one is Christian are prolific, especially if one is young and attractive, and playing nurse to an attractive male sherrif would be just the same. But I'm sure they'll keep their temptation at bay for longer I'm sure, this is beautifully written, blessings Roy
Typo : for the kids attending (the) reading program.

Emma is so busy with her own life it seems/the shy girl will blossom in time and let others into her life as she matures. She is fond of Seth, but probably she has doubts about him, yet.

I'm not sure why it would bother Emma to use first names with Seth. I guess we'll learn in time. She doesn't seem to mind rubbing aloe on his back. There seems pretty informal. I'm enjoying to story and looking forward to findiing out who is the parked can and how Emma will react when she learns, she adopted.

Nice, gentle read, today. Emma not answering Seth's question and she looking after his burns. One spag...In chapter title...Seth suggests they (use)each other's first names.

Hmm, is Emma feeling a bit uncomfortable at the increasing level of intimacy between she and Seth? If she feel that things are moving too fast, is it because she is afraid of falling of the cliff and it be a one way fall? It seems pretty clear to me that Seth is all in.

I didn't realize it has only been ten days since Emma and Seth met. Their relationship is moving right along. The story reminded me participating in church events.
Well done, another enjoyable chapter.

Thank you for the kind review. Yes, when I only post once a week, we lose track of time. I add it because people want the relationship to move faster, but when it's only ten days, it's moving fast enough.
