Hi Jay,
I must say, you spoke in words that had that meditative quality to them. The quality of leading the reader down a path to self-discovery in connecting with the younger self.
Now for me, I find that so attractive, and the reason being I know how beneficial it has proven in healing my young self from an adult perspective.
So yes, Jay I found this read appealing and of course your lead into Pam's book... which yes, you now have me hook in to reading. Sneaky you... or, thank you I should say, as the intrigue you conjured is indeed the 'magic' of engagement and connection.
Very well written, you have a very colourful mind and a kind heart that speaks a volume of wisdom.
With our thoughts we create...
the magic to connect.
Kind regards,
James.

This is a lovely promotion of Pam's book, which has a very attractive cover. I have reached that stage in life when my memories of my youth are clearer than yesterday. Thanks for introducing us to this book.

I wasn't aware of Pam's book. Thank you for sharing about
it, Jay. You gave readers great snippets from it which should
entice them to look into it further. I know I will. Your words
were well thought out. It was kind of you to promote this
for her.
Thank you, Jan

Sounds neat, Jay. will order it for moi.
Since I admire your work so much I don't think, or rather, I hope you won't mind me pointing out an error in your writing (Horrors and saints forbid!), but one of my pet peeves - and you can look it up (Not my pet peeve, but the definition)-is entitled and titled.
Entitled is when a person has the right to something; titled is the title of a book. You probably didn't want to know that, but there 'tis, anyway :)
You did talk me into getting the book. Would you like to buy The Worst Five Months Ever. It's a good un. :)

How embarrassing not to know that. Now I do. It will be changed right away!
-
didn't mean to embarrass you, but thought you might want to know. Your writing is so good.
-
Hahaha, no, embarrassment can be a good thing for me, as long as it's from someone I respect, and I don't hang on to it for too long. Besides, you're titled to the honor of being a good reviewer.
-
thank you, sir. I made that mistake for a long time until someone corrected me.

Yes, I can see, and it shames me a lot, I have been asked by people if they can acquire a book. I have walked the odd mile in these shoes, and have traveled to many countries, and I have to share those things. Pam is extraordinary, and you have traveled the odd kilometre too. One needs perception, wisdom and intuition to write, and a smattering of grammatical skill too, well done, blessings Roy

There is no reason you shouldn't have a body of published work, Roy. You have so much to contribute. Do it for the world outside the Fanstory convent.

This was so thoughtful of you, Jay! Yes, I bought Pam's book for my grandkids last September. It's wonderful that she keeps encouraging old and young readers alike!!

Jay, that is very kind of you to write a post about Pam's book. Giving the link to Amazon was exceptional. I have read a lot of her poems, and she is a frequent reviewer of things I have posted. I never had any kids, but I may know a few folks that do. Thank you for doing this. Terry.

So cool to see the strength of the writing community here! I've purchased this book, and am planning on reading it, along with Mary Shifman's novel, The Endless Song.
Will be criting Pam's work in the future (sounds like a great read).
Fanstory is quickly becoming my favorite social network! It's a little bit of work to put in, but in the end it's totally worth it. :)

This is a salesman in you. The writing is beautiful with its image of a child exploring the woods. I love 'limber our stiff minds'. That's fitting for those over sixty. I clicked on the link. An enticing cover. Her poems would delight anyone who buys. If I had a six left, you would get it.

Awww, so kind of you. Don't worry about a six. I barely get past the weekend before mine are gone.
