Beautifully presented, and a most thoughtful and thought-provoking poem which is well expressed and crafted with care. My only suggestion is to make "you" into "him" (Stanza 3) as the rest of the poem seems to be speaking about Him, rather than to Him. Well done. Best wishes for your entry.

I love that you caught that little extra word in there. I put that one time in there to talk to Him, and also because I loved how it sounded and was the title of the poem, so at least till the end of the contest, I best keep it in there since it is the name of the poem. Also did you notice that it was in all caps? I did that so nobody would notice that His name was capitalized. I just wouldn't think of leaving the caps off of His name, anymore than I would put caps on for satan....I do appreciate your lovely review and kind comments too, so thank you again my dear friend.

Very beautiful and touching poem. At first, in the first three quatrains, we are not quite sure whom the poet is referring to, until we grasp it. Then it all makes sense. Unconditional love.

The rhymes and meter are not forced and they flow well. I remember pulling daisy petals... he loves me he loves me not... :) it esucks when he doesn't. A love of your baby is better.
the structure makes sense, it draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

This is such a lovely poem with a twist in the final stanza. Of course it was Jesus all the time, and of course He loves you, pure and simple, total love. And I'm sure there isn't a time when everyone of has questioned it, why would He love a person like me? The answer is there in your last, lovely stanza. Beautiful! Wow, I thought you were writing about romantic love and the first stanzas gave us a sense of your doubting it. But letting us know that it is Heavenly love that you acknowledge, with Jesus loving you is really beautiful.

It also shows the fight to keep religious faith and to know someone has always loved you and the strength that knowledge can supply.

It also shows the fight to keep religious faith and to know someone has always loved you and the strength that knowledge can supply.
