The picture choice was perfect. Being wise never means without feelings. Weeping for the death of something beautiful is quite wise. I liked the simplicity of this poem. Not that the subject was simple. But your poem was cleanly and concisely written. Thank you for posting. Gretchen

This image is so meaningful, touching. Your words are definitely for us to see. The little girl must have a touch of compassion for God's creatures. A gracious characteristic to experience.

Oh yes indeed, even God notices the sparrow falling to earth, I know He cares, because He knows His creation is part of Him, but not as much as He loves us, we are valued, beautifully written entry in this cinquain contest, good luck, blessings Roy

Did the picture inspire this? The little girl has a wonderful combination of wisdom and compassion. Alliteration with wise, ways and weeps. Rhyme with ways and nature. Good luck in the contest.

Aw, I can understand this little girl's distress when the little sparrow falls down to earth. To encounter something like that would be upsetting. Good luck in the contest

That is so very true. I forgot to ask you. How is your wrist? Did you have to go to the doctor?
-
Thank Ulla. I did go to the doctor to get a perscription filled. It is still painful but I think it will heal eventually. The doctor left it up to me about an xray and I said Let's wait and see.
-
Okay. I hope for the best. Please do let me know. :)))

Thank you, Teri. I was like that as a child. I cried over a lot of birds and disceased animals.

She is a gentle soul. Very well captured in your cinquain. Confronting death, so young, must be most upsetting!
Good luck in the contest!

Thanks Karenina. Death is something a lot of children have a problem with. I know I did as a child.

The innocence of a child came through in your poem and well accompanied were your words by the photo of the little girl.
It can also be a scary event for a young innocent child.
Fine line/balance is drawn.
Well penned.
