I think this is a challenging contest. I do believe you accepted the challenge with an excellent entry and good luck. I also believe your message is a truism. We do not know what lies ahead. Well done. Terry.

We do know that we are not promised tomorrow. But is we're a Christian we do know what lies ahead because of God's promise to us. Thank you for sharing this writing prompt entry with us. I enjoyed reading.

Barbara, thank you.

The author's words are clear, strong and creative. I pondered on these
words and know that , yes, death comes next for all of us as the author states. For me believing in the afterlife soothes my fears. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork goes well with these words.

Harmony, thanks!

Yep, nicely captured. We certainly can`t escape the inevitable. Are those tarot cards being held. At first I thought the eyes were of a cat but I believe they are of a fortune teller. Nice graphic.

Yes the fortune teller?

You followed the 5-7-5 format perfectly. It's a simple explanation of a common philosophy: life, death, unknown. It's always a good reminder to use our time wisely, as it is limited.

Yes, always a forethought never the after thought.

Fantastic poem. Clearly expressed in so few words. I particularly enjoyed your capitalisation of the word Know. It lends power and wisdom to your poem. An absolute rather than a supposition.

For poems about death, this is certainly the one that fulfills the mysterious title. We know not the time, but we who are Bible believers do know something about life after the event.
